Five reasons a payout stops, and only one is the chain

Each one read out of the terms

A pending status is not one condition. It covers a request that was never admitted, a request held for documents, a request refused at a ceiling, a balance still tied to a promotion and a transaction already broadcast. The five have nothing in common but the word on the screen.

Pending is a screen, not a cause

The word on the account page is the same in every case, and underneath it are situations that need entirely different responses.

A payout can be sitting because the request has not been admitted, because documents were demanded, because it exceeds a published ceiling, because it is inside a bonus condition, or because it has already been broadcast and is waiting on a chain that owes nobody an explanation. One of those five is not the operator's doing at all.

Knowing which one is running decides whether there is anything to do. The sequence the five sit inside is in how long a payout takes.

One: the request was never admitted

Several of these terms describe a gate before the queue rather than a delay inside it.

Wolf.bet states that identity verification is required prior to processing payouts. Wild Fortune states that withdrawals remain pending until verification is complete. Wild.io states that an account may be subject to security verification before its first withdrawal.

In all three the request exists and processing has not started. Nothing is late, because nothing has begun, and the countdown a player thinks they are watching has not started either. This is the most common cause of the gap between an advertised payout time and a lived one, and it is why the operator's own segment is examined separately in the processing window.

Two: documents were demanded

The second cause is the one with actual dates attached, and they run in the player's direction rather than the operator's.

Rocketpot allows 30 calendar days for identity and source-of-funds documents under clause 11.4. Oshi Casino allows 40 days under clause 12, and states that winnings may be confiscated if the information is not supplied in time. PlayAmo's clause 12 permits documents, a phone call or a video call, with accounts locked until verification is complete.

Eight of the ten publish no threshold at which this happens, only a clause allowing it at their discretion, so it can attach to a withdrawal of any size. The whole set is collected in the verification delay.

Three: the amount met a published ceiling

The third cause is not a hold at all. It is a rule, and it is the one a reader could have seen coming.

Six of the ten publish a ceiling with a clause number, and a request above it does not queue faster or slower, it simply does not go out in that period. Oshi Casino's clause 12 sets 4,000 EUR a day, PlayAmo's clause 12 sets 7,500 EUR a week, Rocketpot's clause 11.5 sets 5,000 USD a month.

A ceiling turns a single payout into a schedule, and the schedule is arithmetic rather than judgement. It is worked out, one operator at a time and in each one's own currency, in withdrawal ceilings.

Four: a bonus condition is still attached

Money won with a promotional balance behind it is frequently subject to conditions that must be cleared before it can leave, and a request made before they are cleared can be held or reversed rather than paid.

This site does not compare welcome offers and prints no bonus column, so it makes no claims about the terms of any specific promotion here.

It is named because it belongs on the list. A player who has taken an offer and cannot work out why a payout is stuck is often looking at a wagering condition rather than at a cashier or a chain, and no amount of reading about block intervals will explain it.

Five: it is already on the network

The fifth cause is the one nobody at the casino can affect, and it is easy to confirm.

Once a transaction has been signed and broadcast, the operator's part is finished. What remains is inclusion in a block and whatever number of confirmations the operator requires before calling the payout final, a figure none of the ten publishes. Block intervals are fixed by protocol design, so this segment has a floor that no cashier can beat and a fee-driven variance that no cashier discloses.

The mechanics, and the test that separates this cause from the other four, are in network confirmations, and the coin chosen at the cashier decides which chain is doing the waiting, as set out in coins and networks.

When a stall stops being a delay

There is a point past which none of the five explanations applies, and it is worth naming even though this site can say nothing about how often it is reached.

A payout that is not refused under a stated clause, not awaiting documents, not over a ceiling and not on the network is not being processed. At that point the question changes from how long to who hears a complaint, and the answer depends on whether the operator's licence number resolves in a register that has any complaints procedure at all.

Ten of the ten operators here carry a licence number, which is better than the wider library where 68 of 100 do. What a number does and does not buy is in licence numbers, and the reading rules that keep this page free of timings nobody measured are in how the clauses are read.

Questions people actually type

Why is my crypto casino withdrawal still pending?
Pending is a status word rather than a cause, and it covers at least five different situations: a request not yet admitted to the queue, a request held for identity documents, a request over a published ceiling, a balance still carrying a promotional condition, and a transaction already signed and waiting on the network. Only the last of those is outside the operator's hands, and it is the only one a block explorer can confirm.
How can I tell whether the casino or the chain is holding it?
By whether a transaction identifier exists. If the operator has produced one, the payout has been signed and broadcast and the network has it. If there is no identifier, nothing has been broadcast, and whatever is happening is happening inside the operator, regardless of what the account page says.
Can a casino cancel a withdrawal and return it to my balance?
Several of these documents allow a request to be reversed or held rather than paid, most commonly while verification is outstanding. Wild Fortune states withdrawals stay pending until verification is complete, and PlayAmo states accounts may be locked until fully verified. A balance that reappears is usually this clause rather than an error.
What happens if I never send the documents?
Where these documents say, the consequence is severe and dated. Oshi Casino's clause 12 allows confiscation of winnings if the requested information is not supplied within 40 days. Rocketpot's clause 11.4 sets 30 calendar days for identity and source-of-funds documents. Those are the two published deadlines in the whole set.
